Christine Moore steps back as campaign manager for Becker and Ruth

first_img Reply March 18, 2016 at 9:54 am Politicians are like Dr. Jekylls and Mr. Hydes. You vote for one, and get the other. Yep. That is the way it is. $$$$$$$ talks. The Anatomy of Fear Seriously? I beg to differ. Because when I brought a serious complaint to her she was too busy taking her husband to a doctors appointment to address my issues. So no Christine Moore does not care what happens to the students of Apopka she simply cares about her political career I had left the computer awhile to fix lunch, I turn on the tv, and who do I see? The reporter and the mayor talking about RA’s two pensions. State of Florida banned two pensions, but not in Apopka???? The explanation was it was contracted. Old news revived. Drug bust at 15th and Central, and Carol Wick lawsuit against Harbor House’s board. So, I am thinking, if we are going to re-do the city, let’s find the funding to put a helicopter pad on top of city hall, it will be convenient for channel 9 to come visit us and land. We could also put in for some police dog air-conditioned kennel runs so the poor things won’t have to sit in the police cruisers for hours in the summer with the car’s air conditioning running. We love our police dogs in Apopka, until they sink their teeth into our hides. Ruth is currently in a runoff against Doug Bankson for Seat #3.In her Facebook post, Moore cited an incident between her and Erin Miner (Alice Nolan’s aunt) that she states caused Nolan to not endorse Ruth.On Facebook, she posted:“I’m hearing that Alice Nolan is not endorsing Sam Ruth because of ME. Somehow it is my fault that her aunt violated school board policy on helping Alice at an Apopka school play. SHE VIOLATED SCHOOL BOARD POLICY. It was reported to me and I forwarded the info on to the area superintendent as I do with other complaints people give me. I never had anything to do with it afterwards. This is one of the major jobs of being a school board member.”Nolan did not comment directly to Moore’s claim.“I am not going to respond to that,” she said. “My only endeavor is to do what is best for the Apopka community and the generations to come.”Moore told The Apopka Voice her “stepping back” was anticipated by the Ruth campaign, and that she would still be involved.“I am stepping back from the campaigns due to my responsibilities for organizing the upcoming art and jazz festival which brings students from over 30 schools to Apopka on April 2nd.”Moore went on to post this explanation:“I love serving your children and the community. I have no interest in dividing people – only to make things better for the entire community. I gave Sam my best for four months – I spent little time with my grand daughter, but it is now time to go back to my lovely, normal life. I love you all. I only want to bring people together. I will be focusing on my jazz festival these next three weeks. The children deserve it to be the best ever.”Becker doesn’t expect his relationship with Moore to change, and points out that the campaign’s leadership and message has always come from him.“I am the candidate, contact, and sole person responsible for the message I deliver to the residents of Apopka in my bid to earn Seat 4. I utilize Ms. Moore’s services as a campaign manager to help guide me through nuances of running for an elected position. I also collaborate with her to help craft campaign material that is distributed to Apopka residents. I plan to continue to utilize her services in this capacity, while still passionately leading the effort for my campaign myself.” TAGSAlice NolanChristine MooreCommissioner Sam RuthKyle Becker Previous articleWhere Should the Apopka Splash Pad be Built?Next articleNolan endorses Arrowsmith and Bankson in runoffs Denise Connell RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR March 17, 2016 at 9:58 pm Please enter your name here The Apopka Voice is a nice read, very informative as to what is happening in the community politics and otherwise. I especially like the items about all that’s good that’s happening in the community. I move slower than I use to and don’t get riled up like I use too as well. Times have changed for me and I take life a little easier now a days. There is one thing however that does stick out to me and no matter how old I am, some things are just as they are. Can someone help me, the channel 9 news link above that I just clicked on to watched, is it me, or did the lady on the video tell a bold face lie? There is a saying older than me, birds of a feather flock together. While Ms. Moore states that she is stepping back from both Sam Ruth and Kyle Becker’s campaign, how convenient, not to mention she is also Mayor Kilsheimer and Seat two (2) Commissioner Diane Velazquez campaign consultant as well. Is it politically convenient to announce her “Stepping back” leading up to the highly contested runoff, what about her other clients as well (Kilsheimer & Velazquez)? How can we trust the lot of them? I am dismayed about the coral of public trust and misuse of authority within this circle.C. Moore stated the below on her face book,“SHE VIOLATED SCHOOL BOARD POLICY. It was reported to me and I forwarded the info on to the area superintendent as I do with other complaints people give me. I never had anything to do with it afterwards.”Please watch the interview she gave regarding this issue, very conflicting, she stated she didn’t know who reported this incident to her and that it wasn’t reported by Sam Ruth, but look at the official documents from the school board on the channel 9 investigation. Watch her facial expression as she responds with a straight face. This is who we having representing our children on the school board and a paid consultant for several City of Apopka elected representative. Self-explanatory, fool us once shame on you, no second chance to fool us twice. Christine, don’t you think that before you “step back” from Kyle’s campaign, that you, who have been hired by Kyle to manage his campaign, as a first time candidate running in this run-off, and who is new to this arena, that maybe YOU should, of all people, YOU who know the rules, and are politically savvy, that YOU should advise Kyle to take down his sign off of the ORANGE COUNTY PROPERTY, tied to the guardrails along the bike trail? I have heard you accepted A LOT OF MONEY from Kyle, Christine, is that true? Why aren’t you advising Kyle on the things that need to be addressed, that are just plain wrong, like his sign remaining on government property? Are you helping Kyle, your client, and advising him, or not, or is he ignoring the rules, which is it? Or are you just helping yourself to his money? You tell me, Christine. Go for it.
