Jakarta administration launches COVID-19 website

first_imgThe Jakarta administration launched on Friday a website specifically designed for COVID-19 response and information following the first two cases of COVID-19 being confirmed in Indonesia.The head of the Jakarta Information and Communication Agency, Atikah, said the site, corona.jakarta.go.id, gives the public updates on the number of suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients in the capital, as reported by tempo.co on Friday.Indonesia reported on Monday that two of its citizens had tested positive for COVID-19, both of whom are currently being treated at the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Diseases Hospital in Jakarta.Read also: Indonesian scientists want government to get ‘professional help’ in fighting COVID-19The Jakarta administration currently has 49 people who are suspected to be infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus under observation in several hospitals across the capital city.”So far we have observed a total of 84 people who have symptoms of COVID-19. Forty are still being treated in hospitals, while the remaining 34 have been discharged,” head of Jakarta health resources Ani Ruspitawati said on Friday as quoted by tribunnews.com.The city is also monitoring another 127 people with lighter symptoms like fever, coughing and sore throats who possibly have COVID-19, but have had no recent close contacts with any confirmed cases.
