Photo credit: airstrikes.wordpress.comTeachers of the Dominica Grammar School on Wednesday staged a “sit in” indicating their disgust at an incident which occurred at that school where a teacher was attacked.We have been reliably informed by a source closely affiliated to the teachers who prefers to remain anonymous that there “was not a strike, it was a sit in”. According to that source the teachers are not willing to speak with the media at this time until but intend to do so.Dominica Vibes News understands that a male teacher was attacked at the school on Tuesday and had to seek medical attention.The teacher has reportedly been treated for minor injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital.Meanwhile General Secretary of the Dominica Public Service Union Thomas Letang says he has advised the teachers to return to their duties.“I heard about the attack on the teacher. I visited the school today. I have advised the teachers to return to the classroom. We have planned a meeting with the educational officials to discuss the issue of violence in schools tomorrow.
