first_imgHE WEARS the number 23 shirt – and tonight Seamus Coleman netted his 23rd career goal for Everton in a 2-1 win over Arsenal.Coleman’s third of the season sent Everton on their way to a morale-boosting win over Arsenal at Goodison Park.The Killybegs man netted late in the first half as the Toffees scored a 2-1 win that was their first triumph in six games. It was only a second win in 12 for Ronald Koeman’s side and it denied Arsenal top spot on a white hot night on Merseyside.Everton trailed to a deflected free-kick by Alexis Sánchez that deceived goalkeeper Maaren Stekelenburg.Everton, stung by recent criticism, responded superbly and, on the stroke of half-time, Coleman equalised.Leighton Baines’ deep cross swept invitingly across the box and Coleman, getting between Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel, headed past Petr Cech.
