Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.The Bulldogs are rolling after consecutive 1-0 wins, most recently at Western Illinois. The defense is in strong form with back-to-back clean sheets, and Drake’s offense has been aided by timely scores from multiple players. Six Bulldogs have scored goals on the young season.Scouting BradleyThe Braves (1-2-2) were picked fourth in the MVC preseason poll after returning a league-high eight starters from their 2018 squad that finished 8-5-4 (1-5-0 MVC). Bradley is aiming to get back on the winning track after dropping its previous two matches, but the Braves will face a tough test in just their second away match of the year.Bradley and Drake will meet Saturday for the 44th time with the all-time series knotted at 20-20-3. The Braves won 1-0 in overtime last season in Des Moines.Junior forward Gerit Wintermeyer is the engine that drives the Bradley offense. The 6-foot-3 German was the MVC’s co-leading scorer in 2018 en route to earning first-team all-conference and second-team all-region honors.Wintermeyer led the Braves with 20 points and eight goals last season and has picked up where he left off with team-bests in points (four) and goals (two) in the 2019 campaign.Saturday’s match will feature two of the MVC’s most prolific forwards in Wintermeyer and Drake’s Leroy Enzugusi. Wintermeyer leads the conference with 24 shots this season, and Enzugusi is right on his heels with 22. Both players are tied for fifth in the league with two goals and were selected to the preseason All-MVC team.Enzugusi is tasked with figuring out Bradley’s defense, a unit that has conceded just five goals in five matches this year.
