first_imgThe former players of the Port Moresby Women’s rugby league competition gathered at the Holiday Inn to talk with the current players and pass on their knowledge of the game.National Women’s Coordinator, Wendy Kohun said the small event was definably a big boost towards the campaign in preparing the team for 2017.Former vice captain for the DCA Porebada Bulldogs, Ranu Morea said discipline was key to everything.“You have to have discipline on and off the field. That is number one,” said Morea.Former Hanuabada Hawks player, Geua Willie added that respect was also a big part of success.“Respect your coaches, trainers and the captain on the field and abide by the rules,” said Willie.Konio Nau who played for Magani added that staying fit is also paramount.“Train hard, stay away from drinking and smoking and stay fit.“You are going into the World Cup.
