Two people were taken into custody, with reports that a third person had been assaulted.The suspects were taken to the Norfolk detachment of the OPP on the Queensway West. While they were being processed, one of the accused assaulted and then threatened an arresting officer.A 23-year-old Kitchener woman is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failure to comply with a probation order.A 33-year-old Norfolk woman is charged with assault.Tires slashed on Ireland RoadThe Norfolk OPP are counselling vigilance after two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on Ireland Road in Simcoe late Thursday or early Friday.“The OPP want to remind all residents that – if they see anything suspicious – to please contact the police immediately,” Const.
